Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The manuscript is accompanied by a separate title page with author details. The main manuscript is anonymised. Do not use your name in the manuscript file name.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all figures, and tables are clearly placed at the appropriate points within the text, not at the end.

Keywords, abstract and practice/theory/policy points are included before the main body of text.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Style and Content Guidelines.
This also applies to reference list styling. You may be asked to resubmit this if it does not conform.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • All funding and grant-awarding bodies are acknowledged on the title page of the manuscript, in a separate paragraph.
